Jobs in special education require individuals that not only possess patience for the students with disabilities, but an enormous capacity for understanding as well as a passion to nurture and help those less fortunate. Special education jobs reward those in the field with an intangible sense of accomplishment because of the great service they provide for those with disabilities. Jobs in special education allow people with disabilities to really overlook their situations and not be hindered in becoming the people they want to because of their disabilities. Special education jobs cultivate a mentor relationship with students with disabilities that will more often than not transcend the classroom and have a much more profound impact in their lives. Though it is not often seen, the impact that a special education job creates is one that affects many–from student, teacher, and parent–and therefore, their importance in the education system and society is undeniable.
